Pochard Back

The first returning Pochard of the autumn have arrived back with a pair on the mere this morning . Also a Peregrine was seen attempting to catch Wood Pigeons on a couple of occasions but gave it up as a bad job and moved off east. Two Cormorant flew over heading south and a pair of Grey Wagtails were feeding along sailing club shore line. Also noted a single Jay , two Bullfinch and a count of 97 Coot so numbers still rising.
