February 21st

No sign of the first winter drake Scaup which was found on Friday . A early morning walk around in overcast blustery conditions produced six drake Pochard, two female Goldeneye , a adult summer plumaged Cormorant and a possible sighting of the overwintering Chiffchaff . The picture below is of one of female Goldeneye,s present in today,s grey blustery conditions.
