  1. Hi Steve, where are the feeders located. We visited for the first time last week but didn't come across them. Can you direct me from the car park (coffee shop)? Also what is the best time to visit for birding? Trying to get back into it after many years absence! Cheers ... Paul.

  2. Hi Paul.....Post added with directions , Early morning before 10-00 is best time to visit. We get most of our sightings before 8-00n, but that dose not mean its quite later just more disturbance from other people and water sports etc. Regards Steve.

  3. Thanks Steve, went down yesterday about 09:30. Bullfinch, Brambling and reed bunting on feeders when I got there (2 of those new for me). Then for about 20 minutes lots of different birds and a rabbit! That was until the dog walkers started arriving, cutting diagonally across the conservation area and scaring everything off. Very unpleasant having the dogs doing their daily business right in front of the feeders. A nice old gent was telling me how the dogs have killed most of the rabbits in the park. I wonder if the Mere owners would make that small area 'No Dogs'? Really good first visit to the feeders though. Thanks for the directions, not sure I would have found it otherwise. Thanks... Paul.

  4. Cheers Paul
Good suggestion about making it a no dog area , I have thought about asking wardens . Let you know what they say. Good birding mate. Steve
